Since the introduction of NIL legislation to college athletics, several big-name athletes have signed big-time deals with various brands.
There was Bijan Robinson signing a deal to have his own line of Bijan Mustard. Or Penn State star Chop Robinson partnering with the Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council to promote pork chops.
But those deals, as well as all others, pail in comparison to the one that Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart just agreed do.
Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has made NIL history, becoming the first athlete to sign with a private jet company.
Through the deal with Nicholas Air, he can use the company's fleet of jets for travel, training and philanthropy.

Dart, who threw for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns to lead Ole Miss to an 11-2 record and Peach Bowl victory, signed a deal with private jet company Nicholas Air that allows him use of the company’s fleet of private jets for “travel, training and philanthropy.”
Talk about big time.

Nicholas Air is based in Oxford, Mississippi and lists seven different jets in its fleet. Those jets range from the Pilatus PC-12, which has 356 cubic feet of cabin space, to the Gulfstream G600, which has a jaw-dropping 1,884 cubic feet of cabin space.
So yeah, Dart will have plenty of options.
“At Nicholas Air, we distinguish ourselves by providing the most innovative, efficient, and customizable options for private air travel,” the company’s site says. “We are the private aviation experts. From our dedicated Personal Travel Representatives to our pilots, and everything in between, it is paramount that we exceed customer expectations.”
Dart enters the 2024 season as a dark horse for the Heisman Trophy. Ole Miss returns several starters from its 2023 roster. The Rebels also added a bevy of big-name transfers, which displayed just how committed they are in the NIL Era.
It’s hard to imagine Dart will have much time to travel the world with his new fleet of jets. But it could well help ensure his family is able to watch him play in person.
The senior is a Kaysville, Utah native and began his career at USC before transferring to Ole Miss prior to the 2022 season.
