Hot Mic Catches Jacked Houston Texans Punter Tommy Townsend’s Savage Trash Talk After Bomb

Football is SO back and Houston Texans punter Tommy Townsend is fired up! The two-time Super Bowl champion was thrilled to get back on the field on Friday night for his first preseason game with his new team.

A hot mic on the local ABC station’s broadcast caught him talking trash!

Townsend, a folk legend, has one of the biggest legs in the NFL. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs out of college in 2020 and played a crucial role in the team’s back-to-back championships.

However, they chose not to bring him back in 2024 so Townsend signed with Houston during the offseason. The Texans could be pretty good this year and their new punter is going to be a huge boost to the roster. His ability to flip the field is going to serve as a valuable safety blanket for C.J. Stroud’s offense. It provides a sense of security.

In addition to the booming kicks, Townsend adds a spark to the locker room moral. Not only is he a hilarious personality, he’s a former Eagle Scout so you know he’s an honorable dude. By all accounts, his teammates both past and present love him.

Townsend might look pretty relaxed but he is actually quite fiery. And he’s jacked.

Anyway, the 27-year-old punter caught Steelers kick returner Quez Watkins completely off-guard with a huge boot on Thursday night. Watkins misjudged the punt and muffed it. Houston recovered.

Tommy Townsend ran down the field to get in Watkins’ ear about the blunder. A hot mic caught him shouting at Pittsburgh’s return man to “catch the ball, b—-!” over and over and over.
