By now, most college football fans have heard about the Florida State fan who promised to eat dog poop if the Seminoles lost to Boston College.
The Noles did, in fact, lose to BC. But the fan deleted all of his social media and did not follow through on the bet, leading to him getting called out by Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter.
Now, a Penn State fan who believed he was making a mockery of the FSU fan might well face the same fate.
If Penn State loses to Bowling Green this weekend, I will eat doggie poopoo out of a red solo cup with a spoon and post a video of me doing it.
Book it!

“If Penn State loses to Bowling Green this weekend, I will eat doggie poopoo out of a red solo cup with a spoon and post a video of me doing it. Book it,” the fan tweeted.
That is, of course, the exact same wording that the Florida State fan used. But Penn State was not facing Boston College. Instead, it took on MAC representative Bowling Green. The Nittany Lions entered the contest as 35.5-point favorites and coming off one of Week 1’s most impressive wins.
But this is college football, and weird things happen in college football.
The Falcons carved up the Nittany Lions defense for nearly 300 yards from scrimmage in the first half and took a 24-20 lead into the break.
At that point, the Penn State fan began to sweat things a little.

“I’m literally shaking. I just wanna apologie for the poop tweet. It was a joke. I was mocking the guy,” he said in a video. “I’m sorry. I shoudn’t have done it. I don’t wanna eat poop, and I’m nervous. I’m not happy about this.”
Penn State may well go on to win. The Nittany Lions are still 10.5-point favorites despite trailing at half. But if they don’t, another fan who made a promise they may well regret could have to delete all their social media.
