Stephen A. Smith continues to talk about his on-court incident with LeBron James. Two weeks ago, LeBron confronted Smith at courtside during a Lakers game.
According to Smith, LeBron yelled and cursed at him for criticizing his son Bronny.
“That was LeBron James coming up to me, unexpectedly I might add, to confront me about making sure I mind what I say about his son,” Smith said. “I can’t repeat the words because they ain’t suited for FCC airwaves. That’s what he was doing.””
“That wasn’t a basketball player confronting me, that was a parent, that was a father.”
Smith now has a new theory about why LeBron confronted him. The ESPN host believes LeBron hates him because he thinks Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time.
“We don’t get along and there are a multitude of reasons why, I’ve alluded to some of them,but we know what the biggest reason is. I ain’t Shannon Sharpe, it ain’t GOAT status this way. My GOAT is Michael Jordan. 35,000 points, eclipsing Kareen Abdul-Jabbar with over 38,000, ultimately 40,000, now 50,000, another All-Star appearance, another 50-point game, whatever. Ain’t my GOAT, I washed the game.”
