California Inmate Who Stabbed Tory Lanez 14 Times Speaks Out, Claims Lanez Was Trying To Kill Him

The inmate who stabbed Tory Lanez in prison is speaking out. Last week, Lanez was stabbed 14 times in a California prison while serving 10 years for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

Lanez ended up having two collapsed lungs but was able to survive the incident.

“Tory was stabbed 14 times, including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus”

Lanez’s legal team believes Lanez was stabbed after new evidence in his case was to be presented.

“When evidence was about to come to light, Tory was nearly killed.”

Santino Casio, who is already serving life in prison for second-degree murder charges, was identified as the inmate who stabbed Lanez. Casio spoke to TMZ about the incident, and he’s claiming self-defense.

Casio told us he heard rumors through the prison grapevine that Tory had a bounty on him … and, shortly after, Casio ran into him and thought he saw a suspicious lump in Tory’s pocket.

He says he thought it was a weapon — so, he jumped him, hit him and stabbed him 14 times … yet Casio claims he wasn’t trying to kill Tory.

Casio also says he didn’t walk away from the incident scot-free … claiming he ended up with a stab wound in his leg, which is why he believes Tory had a weapon.

Lanez’s legal team released a statement regarding Casio’s comments to TMZ.

“The recent attempt on his life was savage and ferocious, underscoring the clear and present danger he faces while incarcerated. Any claim to the contrary particularly from an individual serving a life sentence for heinous crimes is not only baseless but an absurd fabrication.”
