Max Homa was not happy on the third hole of his Sunday round at the PGA Championship. The professional golfer was seen launching his club down the fairway on his way to a double bogey.

The scene was unfortunately a preview of things to come as he struggled to finish out the major. Homa ended his round and his weekend at +6.

It was an up and down tournament for the 34-year-old pro. After a +2 on Day 1, he was one of the field’s best on Day 2. Homa shot -7 on Friday to not only get above the cut line but put himself in contention to win.

Those hopes went sailing out the door after he posted a +5 on Saturday. The frustration boiled over on Sunday.

Max Homa launched his club down the fairway.

After making par on his first two holes, he lined up on No. 3 looking to move up the leaderboard. Instead, he fell in the opposite direction.

Homa took his third shot from the fairway hoping to hit the green and set up a short putt. He missed his mark.

The golfer threw his club in anger watching the shot sail past his target. He’d later double bogey the Par 4 hole.

Max Homa shot six-over in his Sunday round. He recorded seven bogeys, five birdies, and two double bogeys to continue his up and down weekend.

Homa is still searching for his first Top 10 finish in the 2025 season. He’s notched one Top 25 finish across 12 events while missing the cut five times. He’ll hope to see a better result in Fort Worth at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
