Below we have the exclusive first look at Max Holloway’s debut of a new series on Threads, Oddly Wholesome Post-Fight Rituals, which will feature Holloway, Tracy Cortez, and Michael Chandler taking UFC fans behind-the-scenes to show how they recover, train, rinse, and repeat after fights and what their lives look like outside of the Octagon.
Max Holloway‘s episode debuts tomorrow on Threads but we got a first look at what UFC fans can expect in the series. With Holloway, we get a glimpse into his Hawaiian heritage and the omnipresent role the Pacific Ocean plays in his life.
Exclusive First Look At Max Holloway In ‘Post-Fight Rituals’ Series On Meta’s Threads
In Hawaii, he’s not just a fighter, he is a father, husband, and member of the community. Getting to Max Holloway and the other UFC fighters outside of the ring will illuminating.
You can find Max Holloway on Threads at @blessedmma. The self-described ‘best boxer in the MMA’ is the former UFC Featherweight Champion but has been fighting at Lightweight.
Jumping from Featherweight (136-145lbs) to Lightweight (146-155 lbs) has been great for Holloway who earned the ‘Knockout of the Year’ award last year at the 2024 UFC Awards. He also became the first-ever UFC fighter to earn an interim, undisputed, and BMF title. Now we’ll get to learn more about how the sauce gets made.
This new series, Oddly Wholesome Post-Fight Rituals, is part of the UFC’s partnership with Meta which made Threads the official social media platform of the UFC. These fighters are already on there daily interacting with MMA fans and the integrations are recent UFC events have been incredible, but this takes that partnership to the next level.
Holloway’s episode will debut on Threads tomorrow, October 7th, and that will be followed by Tracy Cortez’s Post-Fight Ritual next week and Michael Chandler’s episode after that. Each of these episodes on Threads will take UFC fans deep into the fighter’s lives while simultaneously allowing them to interact with the fighters on Threads.
Holloway’s most recent UFC fight was a win over Dustin Poirier. It is quite possible that he doesn’t fight again in 2025 to defend his ‘BMF’ title but there are rumors and rumblings of an early 2026 fight.
