Dana White is many things. One of those things is a guy who enjoys loudly stating his opinions, whether they be about the UFC, politics or, apparently, the World Cup.
On Sunday, the longtime UFC boss posted a video ripping production team behind the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium, criticizing what he described as excessive focus on flyovers and celebrity cutaways at the expense of the actual match.
White has been full of production criticism as of late — he recently fired off similar complaints about his own UFC broadcast team after UFC 329 earlier this month — and the World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain gave him a new target. Spain went on to win the 2026 World Cup Final over defending champions Argentina by a score of 1-0 after extra time.
It’s understandable why White might still be stewing about UFC 329, though, as Conor McGregor’s much-hyped return to the Octagon ended in just seconds due to an ACL injury — McGregor was injured in the opening seconds of his main event welterweight bout against Max Holloway on July 11.

In the interest of fairness, however, White didn’t just rip the World Cup’s production, but made sure to throw his own team under the bus, as well.
“You know what’s crazy? I actually tee’d up the guys who are doing the production, the guys responsible for the production of the World Cup for you guys to hit a grand slam home run. Even though everybody in my team was arguing with me saying you are the worst I said ‘no, we are the worst, they didn’t f— it up as bad as we did,'” White said.
“So what do you guys do? You triple down today and just go ‘f— you Dana White, you’re not beating us! We are the worst production team in the history of sports to ever show celebrities’. I bow down, congratulations to the producers of the World Cup. You guys win, you guys f—– up that flyover too! I’m not going to nitpick, I’m just giving you credit where credit is due, you guys absolutely f——suck, we are the second worst.”

Cutting away to show celebrities was a widely-criticized aspect of the World Cup from fans across the globe, with many overseas blaming the trend on the tournament being partially held in the United States.
