David Gabriel Georges is one of the most sought-after high school football running backs in college football recruiting history and his NIL deal will reflect the demand. The Class of 2027 recruit is set to become the highest-paid player at his position.
His recruitment comes down to three schools.
Regardless of where he ends up, Gabriel Georges is going to make a lot of NIL money. The bidding war is underway.
Who is David Gabriel Georges?
Founded in 1893, the Baylor School enrolls approximately 1,000 students in Grades 6-12, including ~200 boarding students in Grades 9-12. The historic college preparatory school, which sits on 690 acres in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has one of the most dominant high school football programs in not only the southeast but the entire United States.
Although the Bears have won only three state championships, they make consistent deep runs in the playoffs and rarely finish the regular season with more than two or three losses. They went undefeated at 12-0 to win the Division II-AAA championship in 2025.
David Gabriel-Georges played a big role in the success. The 6-foot-0, 210-pound running back is rated as a five-star prospect. He is ranked as the top player at his position and the No. 12 player in his class. It is not hard to see why.
The Quebec-native moved south to play football at the Baylor School as a freshman. He sat for two years behind former four-star recruit Shekai Mills-Knight before he was named the starter as a junior but that did not stop him from making an impact. I watched him play as a sophomore, twice, and I knew he was going to be special. Opposing defenses could not bring him down.
His junior season was even better. Gabriel Georges ran for 1,756 yards and 27 touchdowns with an average of more than 11 yards per carry. He scored the most insane touchdown of the 2025 high school football season before it even started. He followed it up with one of the toughest runs you will ever see in October.
Just to put his dominance in perspective, nationally-ranked Mission Viejo finished with 270 yards of total offense and scored two touchdowns against McCallie. Gabriel Georges had 431 yards and scored five touchdowns against the same defense… by himself.
College football programs are willing to pay him A LOT of NIL money.
As you could imagine, David Gabriel Georges has scholarship offers from schools all over the country. His list of suitors includes Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Michigan, USC, Texas Florida State and Oklahoma, among others.
However, there are only three programs left in the mix: Ole Miss, Ohio State and Tennessee.
The Rebels have been in on Gabriel Georges since the beginning. They already proved they are willing to pay up for an elite running back with the re-signing of Kewan Lacy. His quarterback at Baylor School, Keegan Croucher, is already committed to play in Oxford. It is very possible that his backfieldmate could soon follow.
The Buckeyes and Volunteers are also putting a hard press on the highly-touted ball-carrier. All three schools are prepared to pay.
According to a new report from Pete Nakos, Gabriel Georges is set to become the highest-paid running back recruit of all-time at a price tag north of $1 million. That explains why Georgia dropped out. Kirby Smart doesn’t spend a lot of money on high schoolers.
To go even one step further, Jeremy Birmingham of Lettermen Row heard it speculated that Tennessee prepared a financial package worth approximately $2 million per season over three years. Ohio State did not match that offer.
Regardless of the exact dollar amount, David Gabriel Georges is going to be a millionaire before he even gets to campus.
