Darna have such a huge impact in the country's pop culture. The fictional superhero has been one of the most if not the most well-known character that even until now, decades after its first appearance on print, the country's most beloved superheroine still stand as one of the most powerful there is.


But aside from Darna's relatable and impeccable story of heroism, women who portrayed the character on TV and on the big screen have a massive contribution why the show is still well-remembered especially those women who did not just played the character but also manifested her character in real life just like Angel Locsin who has been dubbed as the real-life Darna.


But playing the role is just one of the reasons why she carried the name Darna all these years, her benevolence, genuine heart and generosity made her the real life superhero that she's known for.




Just like Darna, she's always one of the first ones to make a move whenever the country faces an adversity. She always fly to far-flung areas that was badly affected by calamities and apart from that, she's a brave woman who's not afraid to stand up and speak-up for what she believes in.


Just recently, Angel Locsin surprised everyone with how much she embodies the strength and bravery of Darna. The actress together with her husband and some friends joined over one hundred thousand people supporting VP Leni Robredo's presidential run in Pasig. With her own placard in hand, the actress joined the crowd and cheered for her bet.


Apart from this, one great reunion that everyone is talking about that happened on the said event is Darna and Iking's reunion.


Francis Magundayao who played the role 17 years ago shared a post on his Instagram account and on his caption he wrote "Even after 17 years, superhero ka padin sa mata ko, ate."


Truly, Angel Locsin is a league of her own, an inspiring woman, and a real-life Darna!
