Olandria Carthen will be at the finale of Love Island USA. She and Nic will be in the mix for $100,000 after they were not eliminated during the last vote of the season on Friday night.
Unlike Cierra, her old posts on social media actually give her a big voting boost among her fans. Especially those who watch college football.
Olandria was at the center of the biggest story in reality television over the last few weeks. The self-proclaimed ‘Bama Barbie’ was dropped by her longtime partner, Taylor, after Casa Amor and sent home. However, there was a twist! She and Nic were offered the chance to return as a couple. They went for it.
However, things did not work out between them at first. Nic chose to stay with Cierra, his original couple. Taylor ultimately chose Clarke over Olandria.
And then it all changed. Cierra was sent home by NBC after fans at home discovered racist posts from her past. Her departure left Nic single. He and Olandria later rediscovered their spark during a challenge.

I only know all of this because my wife watches Love Island USA. There is a new episode every single night of the week except for Wednesdays so I have watched way more of this show than I would prefer, but it is the dead season in sports so I will happily give up the T.V. now so I can watch #MACtion on a random Tuesday in October. She gets the remote in the summer. I get the remote from the Hall of Fame game through March Madness. It’s a good balance.
College football fans are voting for Olandria to win Love Island.
Anyway, with the finale of Love Island set to air on Sunday night, I proudly cast my vote for Olandria. (I honestly don’t even know what “winning” entails, but I know there is a $100,00 prize involved.)
She loves college football. Her Saturdays are spent on the couch or at the bar just like the rest of us.
A lot of women profess their love for college football when that is not entirely true. Guys too! They pretend to like it more than they do because they go to school in the south or to fit in with friends. Some fans who do appreciate college football only know the big names like Nick Saban. They know the rules and the basics, which is great, but they can’t sit there and rattle off the two-deep depth chart for Appalachian State like us sickos. You know what I mean.
Olandria Carthen is not pretending. She is a certified #BallKnower! Unlike Cierra, her old posts on social media make her even more likable. Especially this one:
I would imagine less than 30% of all college football “fans” know about Diego Pavia. I would guess that number drops pretty drastically among the fringe female fanbase. Meanwhile, Olandria is out here praising his toughness for no reason other than true admiration. That’s my Love Island winner!
