Massive 6-Foot-7 Offensive Lineman Makes High School Defensive Ends Look Like Tiny 5th Graders

High school football is back, which marks the return of giant recruits that look like men amongst boys. Future TCU offensive lineman Witten Van Hoy is our first physical specimen of the season.

He is a monstrous 17-year-old!

Van Hoy, a three star prospect in the college football recruiting Class of 2025, plays right tackle for the Benton Tigers on the 5A level in Louisiana. To say that he stands out amongst his teammates would be an understatement.

Van Hoy is every bit of 6-foot-7, 305 pounds!

There are still a few months left in his recruitment, so things could change, but the No. 56-ranked player at his position seems to be locked in with TCU after verbally committing to Sonny Dykes’ program back in June. Houston is making a big push after getting in late. Texas Tech is also in the mix. Baylor, Colorado and Louisiana Tech offered scholarships as well, among other smaller schools.

Wherever Van Hoy ultimately ends up, the coaching staff will be thrilled to have him!

5A competition might be slightly undersized compared to FBS defensive ends, but that does not take away from what he does on the gridiron week-in and week-out. He is a mauler.

Opposing defenses do their best to scheme around Van Hoy but their efforts always fail. His highlight tape from last season is so dominant that it’s almost comical.

High school football often creates some major mismatches between giant seniors and underclassmen. Whomever lines up across from Witten Van Hoy is going to be on the wrong end of those incongruities. They are going to be undersized in comparison and it puts them at a severe disadvantage before the ball is even snapped. It is an absolute pleasure to see a massive offensive lineman go to work!
