Nebraska’s Giant Fist-Fighting Offensive Lineman Sends On-Brand Warning To Big Ten Defenses

Micah Mazzccua Nebraska Fight

Micah Mazzccua is likely going to start at right guard for the Nebraska Cornhuskers this fall. The first-year former Florida and Baylor transfer made it abundantly clear that he and his fellow offensive lineman want all of the smoke.

It was a hilariously on-brand warning considering his fairly recent past!

Mazzccua, a fifth-year senior, played in 31 combined games at his last two stops with 21 starts. He was one of the very few bright spots on an awful Gators team last year. Matt Rhule was quick to snag him out of the transfer portal in January.

With the college football season on the horizon, Mazzccua spoke to Nebraska media for the first time earlier this week. The monstrous 6-foot-5, 325-pound lineman sent a stern message to the Big Ten.

We ain’t flinching. We ain’t scared of nobody.

— Micah Mazzccua

His mentality is that other teams are going to fear him, not the other way around.

Players say things they don’t actually believe all the time. Bold words are not always backed by reality.

In this instance, however, Mazzccua means every word.

When he says that he isn’t flinching, he is not joking. Florida got in a brawl with Tennessee last season after a late hit on quarterback Graham Mertz. Mazzccua squared up the Vols and threw hands.

Needless to say, when Nebraska’s new offensive lineman says that he isn’t scared of anybody, he is not lying. Micah Mazzccua will fight anyone, anywhere, any time— whether that be in a literal hand-to-hand combat sense or during a heated battle in the trenches with a nose guard.

Nebraska hopes to get back to a bowl game this fall. Dylan Raiola, the No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2024, is going to start at quarterback for the Cornhuskers. He is going to be thrilled to have his new right guard protecting him!
