Taylor Swift Takes Shot At Kanye West With New Live Version Of ‘Thank You aimEe’

Taylor Swift and Kanye West

Taylor Swift isn’t quite ready to put her nearly two-decade-long beef with Kanye West to bed.

Swift, who was thrown into a feud with the superstar rapper at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, apparently doesn’t forgive easily.

The pop superstar originally released the track ” “thanK you aIMee” on Tortured Poets Department with the letters capitalized to take a shot at West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian. But she’s now released a live version of the song and reworked the title to instead read “thank You aimEe,” apparently changing the lettering to call out “Ye.”

The new version can be found on the digital edition of Swift’s eleventh album on her website. It contains a live mash-up of “thanK you aIMee” and her 2010 single “Mean,” performed at the Wembley Stadium stop of the Eras Tour last month.

Taylor Swift’s Feud With Kanye West Feels As Vitriolic As Ever

Swift and Ye seemingly reconciled following their infamous 2009 interaction. But in recent years, it appears the feud has been taken to the next level.

West referenced Swift on his 2022 track “Famous” off the album of The Life of Pablo with the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that b—- famous.”

But while he claims he asked her before including the line, the evidence suggests otherwise.

“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” a Swift spokesperson said. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b—- famous.'”

More recently, Swift allegedly had West kicked out of her suite at the Super Bowl. And her potential future father-in-law, Ed Kelce, took a swipe at the rapper on social media after a line his new song “Vultures 2” that referenced both Swift and Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
