The Colorado Buffaloes competed in the weekend’s most dramatic college football contest this weekend when they took down Big 12 foe Baylor in overtime.
After the game, a wild scene unfolded that prevented Deion Sanders from meeting up with Dave Aranda at midfield. He explained what happed after the win.
This matchup had it all.
A comeback from the home team. A last second touchdown. A goal line stand to end the game.
Though they trailed for much of the outing, the Buffs never gave in. They needed every second on the clock to escape with a conference win.
Trailing by a touchdown on the final play, Shedeur Sanders’ Hail Mary prayer was answered when LaJohntay Wester caught a 43-yard score as time expired.

That reception sent the game into overtime, where Colorado would gain its first lead since the start of the second quarter.
After striking first in the extra session, Travis Hunter would make a play on defense to secure victory.

Colorado fans rushed the field after the game ended, which kept Coach Prime from making his way to midfield. He explained why he was unable to shake Dave Aranda’s hand after the fact while issuing an apology.
“I want to apologize to the opposition,” Deion Sanders said. “The way we stormed the field, I didn’t get an opportunity to go and shake the head coach’s hand. I did try to go over to the locker room and wait until he came out, but I don’t think they got the word to him, because that’s not professional.
“I wanted to shake his hand and acknowledge. I don’t like what transpired at the end of the game, but I love what transpired at the end of the game.”
While Deion Sanders was waiting on a potential meetup with Dave Aranda, his players were getting a free concert in the locker room.
Babyface Ray performed for the team in celebration of the wild win.
“Colorado ain’t play no games tonight!!” the rapper said. “Thanks for the invite.”
