Travis Hunter Jr. is one of three frontrunners to win the Heisman Trophy as the best player in college football. Nobody else in history has ever done what the two-way star is currently doing for Colorado.

He rarely comes off of the field!

Hunter’s performance against Cincinnati on Saturday was one of his best. The 21-year-old finished with a career-high 153 receiving yards and two touchdowns on nine catches for an average of 17 yards per catch. His route-running is downright ridiculous.

Not even an egregious pass interference penalty could stop him!

And that was just on offense.

Travis Hunter Jr. also finished with a career-high four pass breakups and made a pair of tackles. The Bearcats did not throw his way often, especially during the second half. When they did, he did not allow a single catch!

Cincinnati ran 62 total plays. Hunter was on defense for all of them.

Colorado ran 71 total plays. Hunter lined up as a wide receiver on 68 of them.

For those keeping track at home, that is 132 total snaps played on both sides of the ball.

His teammates would not let him take another step after the clock hit zero. They, quite literally, carried him off of the field after he carried them to their sixth victory on the field.

All of that is very cool. It has never been done before. However, it is Travis Hunter’s effort that really sets him apart. He goes all-out on every play, no matter what play it is or how little rest he has received.

Even Bearcats wide receiver Xzavier Henderson (a fellow Florida-native) had to show love. Hunter went at him, hard, on his 113th snap of the evening even though the play went the other way.

Most college football players are not coming anywhere close to a snap count of 70, let alone double that amount. Many of them do not give that kind of effort while on full rest.

Travis Hunter is out there knocking skulls at full speed despite only three plays off in 60 minutes.
