Shedeur Sanders wants to play for the Las Vegas Raiders and he is not being subtle about his desire to be drafted in the top-three by a very specific organization. Colorado’s quarterback, the son of Deion Sanders, continued to lobby for his ideal scenario while in Nevada on conference championship weekend.

He referred to Allegiant Stadium as “legendary” with a very agenda-driven post on Instagram.

The entire Sanders family has been vocal about their desire to end up in Las Vegas. Deion spoke earlier this year about the Raiders’ need to add a quarterback during the offseason and encouraged them to go with a very specific rookie in the NFL Draft over a veteran in free agency. That was after he made a very public plea during Big 12 Media Days back in July.

That’d be nice. I’m not a gambler, so I’m not with all that, but that would be nice. [The Raiders] have a wonderful head coach, and a wonderful president in this organization that I think I’m meeting today, actually. That would be nice. I’ve been looking around the stadium. It’s a nice stadium.

[Antonio Pierce is a] great man. Great leader. [He] earned the job. They didn’t give him nothing. He earned the job. I love what he brings to the table. I don’t want him to lose to the point where he has the ability to get Shedeur. Let’s get that straight. I don’t want that to happen, I really don’t, but I wouldn’t mind if, some kind of way, it happens that [Shedeur] is here. I don’t want [the Raiders to lose enough to have a top draft pick] to happen.

— Deion Sanders

He even told Antonio Pierce to draft his sons!

As things currently stand, Las Vegas lost enough games in 2024 to have a top draft pick. There are still a few scenarios that need to shake out, but the Raiders are on pace to pick in the top five if not top three if not first. Maxx Crosby would love to practice against Shedeur next year.

Shedeur met with team owner Mark Davis at the beginning of October. The latter actually told the former that he would love to have him.

To go even one step further, Tom Brady is now a part owner in Las Vegas. Davis told reporters that the seven-time Super Bowl champion will have a large say in the organization’s future at the most important position in football.

You know, it’s kind of putting the cart before the horse,” Davis told reporters. “We wanted to get to this point first before we started defining anything of that nature and all that. But it’s just exciting. We traded Davante Adams for Tom Brady […]

Although Tom can’t play, I think he can help us select a quarterback in the future. And potentially trade him as well. So it’s a huge benefit.

— Mark Davis

Brady and Shedeur Sanders already have a very close relationship. They worked together for his clothing brand. He spoke very highly of the entire Sanders family last year.

All of the signs point toward the inevitable. Shedeur further hinted at his desire to play for the Raiders while in town on Friday.

Shedeur Sanders Raiders

This is going to happen. Shedeur Sanders is probably going to be the next quarterback for the Raiders. The only thing that could mess it up is the NFL Draft order. Should a team like the New York Jets, New York Giants or Cleveland Browns end up picking in front of Las Vegas, they could draft him first.

HOWEVER, Deion already threatened to “pull an Eli” if his son is drafted by the wrong team. Would he force a trade back to the Raiders? Perhaps…
