Bowling-Related Fantasy Football Punishment Is One Of Best You’ll Ever See

Pete Weber bowling

Nobody wants to finish in last place in a fantasy football league. Beyond the obvious embarrassment that comes with your friends thinking you’re a gigantic loser, most leagues these days have an awful punishment planned for the last-place finisher. We’ve all see the Waffle House challenge and the 32-year-old who was forced to take the ACT.

But one league in Philadelphia may have just come up with the best punishment we’ve seen yet. We’ll call it the Pete Weber Challenge (trademark pending).

Here are the rules, per the person undergoing the punishment. The last-place finisher must bowl a perfect game. But because that is more or less impossible, there are caveats. The bowler has 10 pins removed off their necessary score for each beer or hot dog they consume at the bowling alley.

So, five beers and five dogs means you have to bowl a 200. However, for those of us who suck at bowling, a 200 is also sort of a pipe dream. And it’s hard to imagine that the beer helps very much with bowling precision.

As it turns out, however, the guy completing the punishment wasn’t bad at bowling. He was horrible at bowling, which throws a bit of a wrench into things.

Game two was a bit better than game one. He worked his way all the way up to 91 and had already downed six beers and three hot dogs. That means the target score was now just 210. Game three showed further improvement, breaking 100 with a score of 104 and downing three more beers.

But that’s when things began to plateau. The goal came down to 150, with four more beers out of the way. But his score took a step back, landing at just 103 for game four. Ultimately, the beers proved to be too much as his score continued to descend and he was eventually kicked off the lane.

But this brave man was not a quitter. With a new lane and newly found energy, he finally completed the punishment in game nine. Nineteen beers, three hot dogs (sort of disappointing tbh) and 90 pins later, it was over.

That, my friends, is a Herculean effort in one of the best fantasy football punishments we have every seen. And it should also serve as a warning to the rest of the league, you do not want to finish in last place.
