The Green Bay Packers made the playoffs this past season following an 11-6 campaign, losing to the Eagles in Round 1. Running back Josh Jacobs believes the team is one or two pieces short of making a Super Bowl run.

He was in New Orleans this week to talk about his squad as he looks ahead to the future. In doing so, he offended a few of his teammates.

Jacobs believes the offense needs a proven wideout as its top option. He admitted to having talks with former Green Bay star Davante Adams in the offseason.

The Packers‘ top receiver this past year was Jayden Reed at 857 yards. While the unit did have four players record at least 400 yards, Jacobs believes something’s missing. They need a true WR1 to carry the load and clean up the inconsistencies seen with the current bunch.

It didn’t take long for Josh Jacobs‘ comments to go viral. In just his first season with the franchise, he’s already causing a locker room divide.

A pair of Packer teammates came out in response to the slight. The first was Reed, who quickly deleted his post after the fact.

Lot of y’all Packer fans so fu man… bash ya own players, s— crazy!

Dontayvion Wicks was also upset with the remarks. He believes the current group can continue to grow into a productive bunch.

The Packers wideouts aren’t happy with Josh Jacobs. They’ve taken offense to his commentary of the supposed lack of talent at the position. It will be interesting to see whether the Packers take their tailback’s advice and seek out a WR1, or if they put their trust in the current receiving unit.
