Morgan Wallen performed at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison over the weekend for a two-night concert event. He kicked things off with “Jump Around,” a Wisconsin Badgers staple at football games, and the scene was unreal.
Wallen became the first musical artist to headline a show at the venue in nearly 30 years. He didn’t disappoint!
The country music star played both June 28th and 29th in front of more than 80,000 screaming Wisconsinites. Those cheeseheads were more than pumped to see entertainment return to one of sports’ best locales.
The concerts helped bridge the gap from the offseason to the 2025 football campaign. Some were more excited to see Wallen than the hometown Badgers.
A local bouncer referred to the turnout as a “zoo,” calling it more intense than any football game he’s ever attended.
“I worked every football game last season. This is more intense than any football game. There’s a bunch of cowgirls and cowboys, and a lot less Badgers gear than I’m used to.”
The scene got even more raucous when Morgan Wallen played “Jump Around” in Camp Randall Stadium.

“Jump Around” has been used as a hype song for Wisconsin football fans for years. It initially debuted leading into the fourth quarter of a 1998 matchup vs. Big Ten rival Purdue.
Wisconsin would win the game, 31-24. The rest is history!
It’s since become a staple in the venue. That’s no longer reserved for football alone. A number of other videos from the two-night stay have been trending on TikTok.

The controversial country music artist brought out a controversial Wisconsin legend for Night 2.
On Sunday, Brett Favre was seen walking out alongside Morgan Wallen during his patented concert entrance. Previous celebrities to nab the honor include Roger Clemens, Drake, and Peyton Manning.
The pre-show entrances have become a highly anticipated part of the Wallen’s shows. Some don’t believe Favre was the best candidate for this particular occasion, though.

Favre has made negative headlines in his days after retirement for his involvement in multiple scandals. While he is a Green Bay Packers legend, his past is controversial, to say the least.
No matter the stance on Brett Favre, the Morgan Wallen shows at Camp Randall Stadium were a success. That should bode well for future musical guests looking to play at the venue.
