A number of football fans in Oxford, Mississippi are unhappy that Lane Kiffin is no longer the head coach at Ole Miss. Some have taken to social media to smear the Kiffin name.
His daughter, Landry, recently responded to online rumors leaked by “angry” Rebels on social media. She discounted the insinuations in a lighthearted TikTok video.
The marriage between Kiffin and Ole Miss once appeared a match made in heaven. The Rebels gave him a second chance to be a head coach in the SEC. He repaid them with a historic run.
The Rebels went 55-19 with Kiffin at the helm. That included four 10+ win seasons with the stage set for a national title opportunity in 2025.
Ole Miss is currently 11-1. They will be invited to the College Football Playoff. They will be without the man that got them there.

After a whirlwind recruitment, the Tigers were able to lure the head coach away from Oxford. He announced his plan to accept of a seven-year contract offer worth $91 million on Sunday.
LSU will make Kiffin one of the highest paid coaches in college football. They made the deals sweeter by promising a payout should his former team win a national championship in 2025.
Kiffin will earn $1 million if the Rebels finish the year as the No. 1 team. That should bring some solace after being shunned by Ole Miss.
After learning of the coach’s decision, Ole Miss called a team meeting. Kiffin was not allowed to attend. He, instead, made his way to the airport where he was brutally heckled by his former supporters. His time with the school is over.
