Mexican Players Forced To Return $1 Million In Rolexes Gifted By SteveWillDoIt, FIFA Investigating

The Mexican national soccer team was forced to return the Rolexes that YouTuber SteveWillDoIt had gifted them.

Earlier this week, the Mexican national team knocked out Ecuador from the World Cup in the knockout stage.

Before the game, SteveWillDoIt apparently bet $2 million on Mexico and gifted the entire team Rolex watches.

Mexico went on to beat Ecuador and several of the players could be seen wearing the watches while greeting Steve after the game.

The Mexican National team went on to release a statement revealing that players had agreed to return the watches.

“The SNM reports that by mutual agreement, our players decided to return to the content creator @stevewilldoit, the watches that he had gifted them on his own initiative.”

According to FIFA-licensed agent Joseph Adamfio, FIFA has a rule against players accepting expensive gifts.

“The rule ensures that football professionals—such as officials, agents, executives, and others—do not give or receive gifts or benefits that could unfairly influence their decisions. FIFA wants to prevent bribery and corruption while maintaining fairness in football”.

FIFA is reportedly investigating the matter.
