The MLB has made a ruling on the two fans who interfered with Mookie Betts during game 4 of the World Series.
On Tuesday night, two fans in the stands teamed up to forcibly rip a ball from Betts’ glove while he attempted to make a catch in the outfield in the first inning of the game.
In an interview with ESPN, one of the fans spoke about his reasoning for ripping the ball out of Bets’ hands.

“We always joke about the ball in our area. We’re not going to go out of our way to attack. If it’s in our area, we’re going to ‘D’ up. Someone defends, someone knocks the ball. We talk about it. We’re willing to do this,” Capobianco told ESPN (from a bar) after the incident.
“I know when I’m in the wrong and as soon as I did it, I was like, ‘Boys I’m out of here.’ I patrol that wall and they know that.”
According to ESPN, the two men were escorted out of Yankees stadium but were told they could to game 5 on Wednesday night.
Capobianco and Peter were escorted out of Yankee Stadium but said they were told they would be allowed back for Game 5 on Wednesday. The Yankees did not immediately respond to ESPN’s request for comment regarding if that was indeed the case.
The MLB has reportedly stepped in to tell the Yankees to ban the fans from game 5.
News: MLB has asked the Yankees to ban the two fans who interfered in Game 4 from tonight’s game. They will be refunded for their tickets, per a source.
