Despite only just completing one of the best regular seasons in Ole Miss football history, Rebels fans and media aren’t exactly happy with head coach Lane Kiffin these days.
That’s because Kiffin, one of the sport’s hottest coaching commodities, has yet to reaffirm his commitment to the university amid a reported outstanding offer from SEC rival LSU.
Earlier in the week on his Talk of Champions podcast, Ben Garrett, who reports on Ole Miss for On3 Sports said that Ole Miss, “can’t turn a hoe into a housewife; hoes don’t act right,” in reference to Kiffin’s reputation for jumping from job to job.

After Ole Miss’ 38-19 victory over rival Mississippi State, Kiffin addressed Garrett on the field and seemingly offered to fight him should Garrett want to stand behind his comments.

“You wanna walk in here and call me a hoe? Well, see how it goes,” Kiffin told Garrett during the awkward encounter.
Garrett then attempted to walk back his comments during the postgame press conference.
“It’s not calling you a hoe, it’s about commitment, and that’s what really the question is,” Garrett told Kiffin. “You’re still not doing so [answering about your commitment plans], so you don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting upset about something so innocuous as that, especially after a win?”
“I actually don’t even know your name,” a clearly disgruntled Kiffin replied.
Later on his YouTube show, Garrett claimed he did not call Kiffin a hoe, but rather questioned his loyalty.
While technically Garrett may be right, he might as well have done so. And it’s pretty lame to try to continue to make the point while not standing behind the actual word he used.
