Unless you are Selena Gomez or Aric Jones, I cannot imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will care if you do not attend their wedding. In fact, they would probably prefer if you do not show up if you are struggling with the lack of plus-one on your invitation.
That is a real thing.
A new report suggests that a boycott is brewing for the Kelce/Swift wedding because of the discrepancy in who gets to bring a guest. However, the “shy” individual will only speak on the condition of anonymity.

If we’re being honest, there were a lot of haters who did not think this high-profile relationship would last. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had a lot of people rooting against them. Especially when the NFL’s television partners would show her on the broadcast during games. GET HER OFF OF THE SCREEN!
And yet, here we are in May of 2026. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the international pop superstar are less than six weeks away from their nuptials. They are engaged to be married on July 3.
We obviously have no idea what the wedding is going to look like. We don’t even know where it will be.
There were a lot of rumors about a small, intimate ceremony with only friends and family on the beach in Rhode Island but the rumors were exactly that. According to the “save-the-date” cards that leaked on the internet, they are getting married in New York City. The venue has yet to be revealed and will only be revealed to guests on the morning of.
One theory suggests a ceremony similar to that of Beyonce and Jay-Z, who held their wedding at their own home. Swift owns a sizable $50 million compound in SoHo. She could block off the street for her guests and keep things very simple. It could also take place at a more traditional wedding venue like the Waldorf Astoria. It could even be at Madison Square Garden. We don’t know! Money isn’t an object.

What we do know is that not everyone got a plus-one.
An unnamed guest spoke with the Daily Mail about her invitation to the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. She was upset because she did not get to bring a guest while people in relationships do. It made her consider not going. Seriously.
“I mean, what am I supposed to do? Go alone? That is so awkward. I don’t think I am going to attend because I don’t want to go by myself and I am not sure I will know too many people there. I mean, sorry, I am not friends with Gigi and Bella Hadid!”
She feels like she is being punished by Swift and Kelce because she doesn’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend.
“I know Selena Gomez is bringing her husband Benny Blanco, so she has a plus-one, but I am not allowed to have a plus-one because I am a single woman. I get it, the venue can probably allow for only so many people, but it’s not the best feeling.”
The anonymous guest might actually stay home.
“It’s the wedding of the year, but I may sit this one out because I am shy.”
To say that you are “shy” while speaking to the Daily Mail about Kelce and Swift’s wedding is hilarious. And I would imagine that they would not care if she chooses not to show up. They might not even want her there after she cried to the media. I know I wouldn’t.
