Conference realignment has been one of the bigger issues throughout the offseason, as super conferences are being put together in college football.

The Pac-12 took another hit recently after it was announced that the Colorado Buffaloes will be moving to the Big 12 starting in 2024.

It’s a big move for this program, as they’ll be playing in a thriving conference.

With that said, Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning had plenty to say about the news.

According to Brenna Greene, Lanning ripped Colorado after it was announced the Buffaloes will be playing in the Big 12 next year.

The Oregon head coach called out Colorado for it’s lack of success in the Pac-12. Here is his full statement.

To be fair, Colorado has been at the bottom of the Pac-12 more often than not. So, Dan Lanning is simply pointing out that the Buffaloes’ absence likely doesn’t effect Oregon, or the rest of the Pac-12.

On the other hand, rumors continue to swirl that the Ducks may change conferences as well. So, maybe it’s a bit harsh of Lanning to rip Colorado like this.

At the end of the day, Dan Lanning is just focused on coaching the Oregon Ducks. He doesn’t have much power, if any, when it comes to what conference his program will play in.

With that said, Colorado will be heading to the Big 12 in 2024, which is great news for the Buffaloes. Especially with Deion Sanders as head coach of the program. They’ll be generating plenty of excitement.

As for the Ducks, keep on the look out for any announcements, as Oregon could be the next team on its way out of the Pac-12.
