The University of Hawaii will try to break its women’s college basketball program record for single-game attendance against defending conference champion UC Irvine on Saturday night. In doing so, it will also debut some of the best uniforms in college basketball history— and that is not hyperbole.
The Rainbow Warriors are set to unveil the brand-new ‘sUHrf City’ kit, which is the first of its kind.
Head coach Laura Beeman established ‘Beeman’s Big Bash’ in 2024. The annual college basketball event is designed to encourage fan attendance through various giveaways like bobbleheads and t-shirts, as well as in-game promotions and interactive experiences. Last year’s bash drew 5,068 fans — approximately 1,100 short of the program’s current attendance record, established in 1998.

This year’s even, known as ‘Beeman’s Bigger Bash,’ aims to break that record. But that is not why people outside of Honolulu should care!
Hawaii’s new uniforms are absolutely perfect. The Rainbow Warriors held a global fan-design contest in partnership with UniWatch. Isaac Daggett was the winner. His ‘sUHrf City’ uniforms will debut on Saturday night.

They are, without question, the best uniforms in women’s college basketball. They might be the greatest college basketball uniforms of all-time, men’s or women’s. That is not an exaggeration.
