Doctors are reacting to Steph Curry’s injury status in the playoffs. On Tuesday night, Curry was forced to leave game one of the Warriors-Timberwolves with a hamstring injury.
After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told the media that Curry would likely be out for the team’s game on Thursday.
“We’re definitely game-planning for him to not be available on Thursday. We don’t know yet. With a hamstring, it’s hard to imagine he would play Thursday.”
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Curry suffered a grade 1 hastring injury and could miss up to a week of game action.

Othopedic surgeon Dr. Nirav Pandya believes Warriors got good news on Curry’s injury status considering things could have been much worse.

“A grade 1 hamstring strain is positive news for Warriors fans and #DubNation . A grade 1 sprain = microscopic tearing which is much better than the more significant tearing that occurs with a grade 2 or 3. How he responds to treatment, the MRI specifics (location, muscles involved, etc) will likely determine his RTP with the medical staff.”
