George Pickens was traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason after spending three years with the franchise. It seems he’s bitter about being tossed aside.
The wide receiver took to social media this weekend to blast what he called the “cheapest organization” in the league. He’s since deleted that spiteful post.
The response came in reply to a video from Prospect Media featuring his former Steelers teammates Payton Wilson and Beanie Bishop. The duo broke down the Pickens trade, which occurred just last week.

Wilson and Bishop tried to explain possible reasoning beyond the trade. While admitting they had little inside information, they viewed it as the front office having an eye to the future.
Beneath that post, George Pickens wrote a message blasting the Steelers.
“They the cheapest organization. Ain’t no stacking year after year. They gone let them [expletive] go too soon as it’s time. LMAO.”

Pittsburgh received a 2026 third-round draft pick and a late-round swap for dealing the wideout to the Cowboys. Many viewed it as a way to get rid of a headache after signing his replacement.
The Steelers landed DK Metcalf before ditching Pickens, who constantly made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
He blasted the offensive coaching staff last January. He tried to fight a Browns defender two months prior. He’s thrown numerous on-field temper tantrums.
Mike Tomlin once called him the “pebble in his shoe.” The head coach no longer has to deal with the nuisance, while George Pickens made it abundantly clear why he was traded in the first place.
Pickens is talented Across his three pro seasons, the wideout has racked up 2,841 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’ll now look to continue his career in Dallas. He’ll try not to make any waves with his new team.
